Troy Polamalu OK for Bengals – Woodley Likely to Play

Two of the Top Defensive Players Will Return for the Steelers

Troy Polamalu

Troy Polamalu, the high flying safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has been cleared and has had no issues since making his hard hit against Kansas City.   It is reported by the Steelers that he will be playing against the Bengals.

Polamalu suffered brief dizziness after tackling offensive lineman Steve Maneri, who was checked in as an eligible receiver during the opening possession of the game.

Also expected to return is the All Pro linebacker, LaMarr Woodley.    Woodley has been out for several weeks nursing a hamstring pull.   He practiced today at full speed and is said to be good to go.

The Steelers pass rush has dropped off significantly without Woodley in the line-up.   The defense has only amassed two sacks in the last two games.   Woodley had 7.5 sacks during the last three games that he played before injuring his hamstring.
