Ben Roethlisberger In Car Accident – Breaks Both Legs?

Was this Report True or Just a Hoax

According to internet sources, Ben Roethlisberger was involved in an auto accident that broke both of his legs.   Terrible, right?

Hang on…..   it appears that this story was a cruel internet hoax.   Ben was not in a car accident at all.Ben Roethlisberger

Ben Roethlisberger broke both of his legs in a car accident. At least that’s what the Internet is saying. However the Pittsburg Steelers quarterback didn’t break his legs because he was never in a car accident. Roethlisberger is the victim of an Internet hoax.

A report came out on Wednesday by Global Associated News, which read:

” A spokesperson for the Denver highway safety authority (HSA) has confirmed that Ben Roethlisberger has broken both of his legs in a traffic altercation. He has been transported via ambulance to a local Denver hospital for treatment, and the full extent of his injuries are not known at this time, however, both of his legs were visibly broken and not life threatening according to sources.”

“The accident involved a 2012 BMW driven by Ben Roethlisberger and a 76 year old female driver in a 2010 Audi. The driver of the Audi was issued a citation for failing to stop at a red light before striking the vehicle driven by Ben Roethlisberger at a high rate of speed.”

Since there are so many details to the story, it is easy to believe that it’s real, but Global Associated News creates fake reports using a generator.

A message at the bottom of the site reads:

“FAKE… THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes!

Man Arrested for Extorting Hines Ward

Extortionist Caught in “Sting” Operation

Hines Ward, the all-time leading receiver for the Steelers, was the target of extortion.   26 year old Joshua Van Auker tried to extort $15,000 Hines Ward Extortedfrom one of Hines Ward’s personal assistants.   According to Allegheny County prosecuters, Van Auker threatened to release information stating that Ward had paid women for sex.

According the the Allegheny Prosecutor’s office, Hine’s assistant gave Van Auker the money he demanded.   That money was provided by law enforcement.

Allegheny County detectives then arrested Van Auken.   He is currently awaiting arraignment.

A local man was attacked because of what he was wearing.

“He went out for a bike ride and he was on his way home and he said some guy pulled up in a blue truck and said you need to take off that Pittsburgh jersey, you should be wearing a colts jersey and you need to go to hell,” the victim’s wife said.

What happened next had the victim, who doesn’t want to be identified for fear of his life, riding for his life.

“The next thing that car was coming at him, he was trying to get away then he was airborne.”

You could still the tire tracks Friday, from the truck which made an abrupt turn in order to run the victim down.

The next thing the victim knew, he was in Methodist Hospital suffering from severe injuries.

“His chin was broken; his jaw was dislocated on the left side so he has a plate in his chin. He has stitches in his head and under his nose.

“He has scars on his legs and his hands; you can’t even touch his hands. It hurts just from touch. He has gravel in them too,” his wife said.

His wife has a message for that Colts fan.

“For you to do something like that, you should think about the people in your family. If something like this happened in your family what would you do?”

She said she is actually praying for the suspect because she said when you are simply willing to take a man’s life, it’s no longer about football.

“We wear different jerseys, it doesn’t matter. I could have lost my husband”

The suspect is still at large. We was driving a light pickup truck at 1 p.m. near the intersection of Madison and Stop Road 1. Anyone with any information is urged to call IMPD at (317) 262-TIPS.
